National AIDS Control Programme

Achievements

Total 55 Centers have been established in Maharashtra. i.e. 30 in Medical Colleges and 25 in General Hospitals.
The Team leaders frm the above Medical Colleges and District Hospitals have been trained.
Appointment of Counsellrs and Lab Technicians have been done.
Funds for this programme has been given to the Centres.
Nevirapine tablets and syrups have been supplied to all the Centres.
Four review meeting have been organized to monitor and evaluate the project

Details of Programmes undertaken under PPTCT Programme

1st Review Meeting of Medical Colleges on PPTCT was held on 26th April 2002 at Hotel Nagina Byculla.
2nd Review meeting of Medical Colleges on PPTCT was held on 7th August 2002.
3rd Review Meeting of Medical Colleges on PPTCT was held on 20th and 21st March 2003 at hotel Aurora Towers, Pune.
1st Review Meeting of team leaders of PPTCT of district hospitals was held on 8th May 2003 at hotel Panchratna, Pune.
Training of Lab Technicians of medical colleges of PPTCT programme was held in NARI Pune from 26th to 30th May 2003.
Training of Resident Doctors on Counselling under PPTCT Programme was held from 24th to 27th June 2003 at CIRT, Pune.
Training of newly appointed Counsellors (1st Batch) of District Hospitals under PPTCT programme was held from 28th July to 2nd August 2003 at FIAMC Bio-Medical Ethics Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai.
Training of Resident Doctors (2nd batch) under PPTCT programme was held from 14th to 17th August 2003 at JET Hostel Guest House, RCF, Mumbai.
4th State Level Review Meeting on PPTCT programme was held from 2nd September to 4th September 2003 at Aurora Hotel.
Training of Counsellors (2nd Batch) on PPTCT programme was held from 19th to 24th September 2003 at FIAMC Bio Medical Ethics Centre.
2nd State Level Review Meeting of District Hospitals was held from 8th to 9th October 2003 at Hotel Tulip Rainbow Retreat.
The Training of Lab Technicians of District Hospitals on PPTCT programme was held from 13th to 17th October 2003 at Hotel Tulip Rainbow Retreat, Lonavala
Sensitisation Workshop was held at Kolhapur on 30th November 2003.
Sensitisation Workshop was held at Sangli on 15th January 2004
Counselling Training on PPTCT for Medical Officers and PHNs of Women Hospital Akola on 10th & 11th February 2004 and Women Hospital, Amravati on 12th & 13th February 2004.
Fifth State Level Review Meeting of Counsellors, Team Leaders and Microbioligsts of Medical Colleges from 25th to 27th March 2004 at Hotel Aurora Towers, Pune.
Third State Level Review meeting of Counsellors, Team Leaders and Pathologists of District Hospitals from 6th to 8th May 2004 at Hotel Windsor Castle, Aurangabad
Counselling Training on PPTCT for Medical Officers, PHNs & Staff Nurses of Women Hospital, Latur on 29th & 30th June 2004 and Women
