To prevent further spread of this disease following activities are carried out :-
· New cases are detected by house to house visit (Active survey twice a year in endemic area)
· Patients as well as contact persons are treated simultaneously.
· For active participation, involvement of society IEC activities are carried out.
· For strengthening of this programme participation of other departments such as Panchayat Raj Sanstha, Tribal Development Dept, Integrated Child Development Dept. Education, Forest, Agriculture etc. is ensured.
· Promotion of environmental improvement
Improvement of personal and domestic hygiene.
Adequate water supply
Liberal use of soap.
Better housing conditions.
Improvement of the quality of life.
