Treatment
· Clinical Management
o There is no specific treatment. Patient requires only supportive
and symptomatic management.
o Ensure nutritious diet containing carbohydrates and adequate rest.
However, strict bed rest is not required unless patient is acutely
ill.
Corticosteroids are not indicated.

-term protection against hepatitis A is available from immune
globulin. It can be given before and within two weeks after coming
in contact with HAV. |
