Symptoms usually start 1 to 3 weeks after exposure to the causative organism.Symptoms include:-

· Onset of incidius fever, temperature more at night than
morning (step ladder)

· Weakness

· Headache , drowsiness and bodyaches.

· Constipation pain in abdomen loss of appetitie

· Vomiting

· Diarrhea (sometimes)

· Skin rash

· In untreated cases altered sensorium

· The symptoms lasts for more than two weeks.

· Only way to confirm the disease is blood & stool test.
